[Exciting News]: The Method now validated in 3 peer-reviewed research studies.

Three studies, conducted on the same population (a group of undergraduate students who were using the  Manifestation Method), were recently published in peer-reviewed journals.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the  method on the body composition and metabolic rate of overweight adults. The  method has been shown to produce significant increases in both muscle mass and metabolic rate. It also appears that it can produce significant improvements in fat loss and muscle gain. However, these effects have not been shown to apply to all, or even most, people. As a result, we decided to study the effect of the  method on the body composition and metabolic rate of overweight adults.

We love hearing from our clients, and we hope our clients love hearing from us. So, let’s get to know a bit about our clients. How do they dress? How do they act? What do they want from their jobs? What is their work culture like? How do they feel about their managers? What do they do at work? We’d love to know more!. Read more about precision nutrition and let us know what you think.

We know that our coaching approaches assist clients in losing weight, increasing strength, and improving their health. The rest of the world now knows, thanks to the release of three peer-reviewed academic articles.

++++

I recently received some very wonderful news, which is good for everyone who has enrolled for (or is thinking about registering for) one of our programs.

Three peer-reviewed research articles have recently been published, demonstrating the safety and effectiveness of our methodologies, which are used in our Coaching, Certification, and ProCoach programs.

What makes this so fantastic?

Despite the fact that we know our coaching methods work to help people lose weight, gain muscle, and improve their health (we’ve proven it with over 45,000 of our own clients),…

Outsiders, particularly those in evidence-based communities, are sometimes sceptical (including medicine, pharma, etc).

These peer-reviewed studies not only indicate *extremely* favorable outcomes (as you’ll see), but they also show that our coaching method is actually “evidence-based.”

Study #1: A pilot in women of a tailored, multi-platform nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle coaching program.

In one study, we looked at a group of overweight/obese women in Dr. Maggie Watt’s office, a Coaching graduate and physician from Victoria, British Columbia.

We were particularly interested in how Coaching affects:

  • weight,
  • circumference of the waist,
  • mound of fat,
  • bulk of muscle,
  • hypertension,
  • cholesterol total,
  • as well as other aspects

The outcomes were quite thrilling.

Over the course of a year, women who completed the program:

  • 16.5 pounds were lost on average
  • lowered waist circumference by 3.4 inches on average
  • 3.33 mmHg reduction in diastolic blood pressure
  • 0.14 mmol/L increase in high-density lipoproteins

Finally, the ladies who finished Coaching lost a considerable amount of weight (8.3 percent of their initial body weight), the majority of which came from body fat. The risk factors for chronic diseases have also improved.

Study #2: Randomized controlled trial addressing heart and bone health in BRCA1/2+ breast cancer survivors after risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy using a commercially available lifestyle modification program.

The second study was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Shannon Lynch and Dr. Kathryn Schmitz, both Coaching graduates, as well as researchers from the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine and the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia.

In this study, we looked at female breast cancer survivors who had prophylactic oophorectomy (removal of the ovaries for prevention) and so experienced premature surgical menopause. We looked at:

  • cardiovascular health,
  • nutrient intake,
  • a recreational activity,
  • composition of the body
  • mineral density of the bones
  • structure of the bones
  • strength of the muscles

Again, quite encouraging outcomes.

The program was followed by 74.8 percent of those who started it, and those who finished it:

  • While the control group’s fitness increased (4.0%), the study group’s fitness remained stable (1.1%).
  • The experimental group gained bone area (0.5), while the control group lost bone area (0.8).
  • The study group had a lower BMI (4.7%) and fat mass (8.6%), while the control group simply lost lean mass.

Finally, coaching conserved cardiovascular health, increased bone health, and decreased weight through fat loss in this population at high risk for unfavorable bone and cardiovascular outcomes.

Evaluation of a Web-based Weight Loss Intervention in Overweight Cancer Survivors Aged 50 and Younger (Study #3).

Dr. Shannon Lynch and Dr. Kathryn Schmitz (mentioned above) collaborated on the last study, which looked at young male (testis) and female (breast) cancer survivors. We looked at:

  • loss of weight,
  • proportion of body fat,
  • BMI,
  • waist-to-hip ratio (waist-to-hip ratio)
  • rates of re-engagement
  • negative consequences

Exciting outcomes yet again. Men and women who finished the program include:

  • The average weight loss was 17.8 pounds.
  • 9 percent of their initial body weight was dropped,
  • their BMI dropped by 2.5,
  • Body fat was reduced by 3.5 percent.

In conclusion, because half of adult cancer survivors under the age of 50 are obese and have difficulty losing weight, this study found that coaching can assist this cohort achieve clinically significant weight, fat, and BMI reductions.
